DAALLO Airlines

Daallo Airlines is a privately owned airline that serves the Horn of Africa. It also links East Africa and the Middle East. The company says it began flying on 12 January 1991. It is the flagship company of the Daallo group, and its corporate office is in Dubai.

The first scheduled service ran between Djibouti and Hargeisa on a small Cessna. By March 2000, the airline had 42 staff. Its fleet then held two Antonov An-24RV aircraft, one Let 410 UVP-E and two Tupolev Tu-154M jets. It flew to Berbera, Bossaso, Djibouti, Dubai, Hargeisa, Jeddah, Mogadishu and Sharjah.

Between 2001 and 2011, Daallo added staff and updated its fleet. The network grew to include London and Paris. Later, the airline chose to focus on its core markets. It increased flights to Mogadishu, Hargeisa, Nairobi, Jeddah and Dubai. In October 2022, Daallo introduced a more modern fleet and widened its network.

Passengers can book flights on the website or the mobile app. They can also manage bookings, check flight status and use online check-in. Check-in opens 24 hours before departure and closes 1 hour before.
