Daa International

daa International is a global airports management, consulting and investment team. It is part of daa Group, which is owned by the Irish state and runs as a commercial business. The team advises and manages airports for clients around the world.

daa Group has four businesses. They are Dublin Airport, Cork Airport, ARI and daa International. The group says it operates in over 30 locations across 15 countries. These include Ireland, Saudi Arabia, Canada, Germany and Australia.

The group operates Dublin Airport, Cork Airport and the Red Sea International Airport. It holds a 20% stake in Dusseldorf Airport. It also holds an 11% stake in Hermes, which runs Larnaca and Paphos airports in Cyprus. The group notes it introduced shopping without import duty at Shannon Airport in 1947.

As owner operators, the team says it knows the technical, regulatory and commercial limits that airport clients face. It handles management contracts of all kinds. One example is King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. There the team works with a local partner called Jedco. It manages and advises on operations, non aeronautical revenue and facilities management. Jeddah is the main entry point for pilgrims traveling for Hajj and Umrah.

The company draws on a pool of industry experts and says it passes on more than 85 years of airport experience. It also notes a recent investment program of 2.0 billion dollars. The program built two new terminals in Dublin and Cork and over 120 smaller projects to renew and improve the airports.
