About Chimes Aviation Academy
Chimes Aviation Academy, or CAA, is a flying school in Madhya Pradesh, India. It trains pilots from the start, with no earlier flying needed. The school is approved by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, the DGCA, which is India's civil aviation regulator. It is part of the Chimes Group.
The site says CAA has trained pilots for more than 18 years and has shaped over 1,000 pilot careers since 2008. It reports more than 200,000 flying hours. CAA flies from two bases, at Dhana and at Neemuch. It also has a ground training school.
The course list is wide. It includes the CAA-IndiGo Cadet Pilot Program, which the school describes as a direct path toward an IndiGo cockpit. Other courses are the Commercial Pilot License with instrument and multi-engine ratings, the Chimes Flying Program, the Private Pilot License and the Cruiser PPL Program.
CAA also teaches a multi-engine endorsement and offers foreign license conversion and renewal. Instructors can train for the AFI and FI ratings, which are flight instructor ratings. The school also runs AELP training and testing.
The training fleet uses modern aircraft with Garmin G1000 glass cockpits. A glass cockpit shows flight data on screens instead of old dials. The school says this helps cadets move on to airliner cockpits. It adds that Madhya Pradesh has open airspace and good flying weather through the year.
Safety is a theme on the site. CAA says it follows its rules and safety steps with no shortcuts. It says it has one of the lowest incident rates among flying training schools in India. The school also lists an opening for a safety manager.
The website has pages on courses, the fleet, the two airbases, certifications, leadership and cadet life. It also covers alumni and open jobs, such as assistant flying instructor and aircraft maintenance engineer. An enquiry form is available for people who want to apply.
