About Business Jet

Business Jet Traveler is a publication for people who fly privately. It gives news, advice and reviews on private air travel. The site says its content helps readers get more from their investment in private flying. It also covers luxury travel, cars and interviews with business leaders.

The publication began in 2003. The site says it reaches subscribers in more than 150 countries. It is published by AIN Media. AIN has covered business aviation since it first appeared at the 1972 NBAA Convention in Cincinnati, Ohio. Its brands include the monthly magazine Aviation International News, the AINonline news site and the daily AINalerts newsletter.

The website has a directory of business aviation companies. The directory lists many types of firms. These include air charter providers, aircraft brokers and dealers, aircraft financing firms, maintenance and management companies, and manufacturers. It also lists insurance brokers, fractional ownership providers, caterers and consultants.

A buyer's tool lets readers search a database of more than 500 jets, turboprops and helicopters. Visitors can browse by size class, from very light jets to ultra long range heavy jets, and by turboprop and rotorcraft groups. They can also filter by range and by maker.

Frequent fliers rate airport facilities on the site, covering fuel, service and more. Recent articles include a report on Embraer business jet deliveries. Others cover private jet travel safety and the need for a backup plan when flying to risky places.

AIN Media Group recently bought SherpaReport. This is a research and marketing service for the fractional ownership and jet card markets. SherpaReport has covered those two areas since 2006. The site says the move strengthens its link with buyers, brokers and providers.

The website offers a weekly newsletter of news and insight for private flyers. It also has forms to send news tips, press releases or letters to the editor.
