AlShair Group

AlShair Group is a Saudi industrial group based in Jeddah. It makes fiberglass, furniture, industrial and municipal products, and it also sells seating and counters to airports. The group began in 1979 and uses the sand and petrochemical resources of the Kingdom.

The group started with fiberglass, made locally from natural materials. Over time it grew into furnishings and industrial and municipal products. It now produces and invests in many products and materials meant to solve everyday problems.

AlShair works through several subsidiaries. Shairco Fiberglass and Fiber Glass Oasis work with fiberglass. Tahwelya makes pipes and conduits, including HDPE pipes. Nabaa Al Wesal recycles rubber, and United Saudi makes non-woven fabrics. The group also includes Burkani, Dahab Gold Refinery and Medad Toner.

Airports are an important customer. The group says it has supplied services to all 35 airports in Saudi Arabia. It has also sold seating and counters to many airports abroad. One sale covered a large order of seating for the Hajj Terminal in Jeddah.

Light poles are another core line. Between 1984 and 2022, AlShair sold light poles for 555 projects in cities at home and abroad.

The group has supplied products to customers in many countries. These include Saudi Arabia, Italy, Germany, the United Kingdom, Bahrain, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Kuwait, Egypt, India, Pakistan, Nigeria and Kenya, among others.

AlShair uses the slogan engineering sustainability. It links its work to the Kingdom's 2030 Vision, which aims to reduce dependence on oil. It points to HDPE pipes, tire recycling and sustainable fiberglass as ways to help.
