Aircraft Door Seals, LLC (ADS) is a manufacturer of FAA-PMA replacement door and window seals for small general aviation aircraft, based at 709 Airport Road in Burlington, Wisconsin. The company is a division of Knots 2U, Ltd. and was founded to address door seals that leak air and water into the cabin and add to cockpit noise.

Approvals and installation

In October 2003 the FAA Aircraft Certification Office authorized FAA-PMA approval of the seal as a direct replacement on Piper PA-28, PA-32 and PA-34 entry and baggage doors. In March 2005 the FAA extended this to entry doors, windows and baggage doors on Cessna single-engine aircraft, the 336/337, and Beechcraft and Mooney models. The company says the seal closes fully, is airtight and waterproof, and needs only a logbook entry by the owner or mechanic to document the installation.
