Fly Alliance, a private aviation operator, will replace its flight management system with Contrails FMS, a platform built by flyExclusive. The companies announced the move on 21 October 2026 at NBAA-BACE in Las Vegas. Fly Alliance will use Contrails across its entire operation. It is a full switch, not a small trial.

Fly Alliance runs charter, aircraft management, jet cards, fractional ownership and aircraft sales. It has logged more than 100,000 flight hours and 50,000 dispatched legs. flyExclusive flies about 80 jets, from light to large cabin, and is based in Kinston, North Carolina.

What Contrails does

Contrails puts scheduling, crew rules, dispatch, maintenance tracking, disruption recovery and fleet planning in one place. It uses AI to help with daily work. A patent-pending scheduler aims to cut empty legs and keep aircraft busy. The platform grew out of flyExclusive's own systems and technology it acquired from Volato Group.

flyExclusive charges no licence fees for Contrails. It first opened the software to other Part 135 operators in March 2026. Its plan is to earn from shared flying instead. Operators that join can see each other's live aircraft availability, when allowed, and book trips on each other's aircraft. Each operator keeps control of its own data. It does not have to share customer names or its prices.

"Operators should have better technology," said Jim Segrave, founder, chairman and CEO of flyExclusive.
