The price depends on the route, the dates, the season and where the aircraft has to come from. A full charter costs more than an empty leg, because you pay for the flight back too.

Figures are from the Gulfstream G550 brochure (July 2016) as shown on Wikipedia, with normal cruise speed from GlobalAir. The G550 is no longer built, so there is no current maker spec sheet. The G500 version has less fuel and a shorter range.
The Gulfstream G550 is a large cabin jet built to fly more than 6,000 nautical miles without a stop. It seats 14 to 19 passengers and is used by companies, governments and charter operators. Production ended in 2021, so every G550 on the market is pre-owned.
The G550 is the marketing name for the Gulfstream GV-SP, built by Gulfstream in Savannah, Georgia. The first GV-SP flew on 18 July 2002, and the FAA certified it on 14 August 2003. It grew out of the earlier Gulfstream V.
Compared with the Gulfstream V, drag reductions added 250 nautical miles of range, and the maximum takeoff weight went up by 500 lb. Gulfstream moved the entry door 2 ft forward and added a seventh pair of windows. The flight deck has Honeywell Primus Epic avionics, a head up display and an enhanced vision system. A G500 version with less fuel and a range of 5,800 nautical miles was sold from 2004.
Gulfstream stopped building the G550 in July 2021 after more than 600 aircraft. Private owners, companies, charter operators and fractional programs fly it. Governments use it too, and the US military flies it as the C-37B.

Buyers often compare the G550 with the Bombardier Global 6000, which has a roomier cabin cross section but less range and higher direct operating costs, and with the Dassault Falcon 7X, which has fly-by-wire controls and better fuel efficiency but a shorter, wider cabin.

Gulfstream lists seating for 14 to 19 passengers, depending on the layout. Two pilots fly it, and some operators add one or two cabin crew.
The maker quotes 6,750 nautical miles at Mach 0.80. That is enough for most intercontinental trips, with weather and passenger load deciding the final answer.
High speed cruise is Mach 0.85, and long range cruise is Mach 0.80. GlobalAir lists a normal cruise of 476 knots.
No. Gulfstream ended production in July 2021 after more than 600 aircraft. The Gulfstream G600 replaced it, so all G550s for sale are pre-owned.
