The price depends on the route, the dates, the season and where the aircraft has to come from. A full charter costs more than an empty leg, because you pay for the flight back too.

Dimensions, weights and performance are Textron Aviation figures for the Citation X+, taken from the maker's page as archived in December 2018. The earlier Citation X is 72.5 ft long, cruises at 525 knots and has AE3007C or C1 engines (Wikipedia, citing EASA and FAA data).
The Citation X is a fast midsize jet with a 37 degree swept wing and a top speed of Mach 0.935. It carries up to 12 passengers and flies about 3,460 nautical miles. Cessna stopped building it in 2018, so every Citation X is pre-owned.
Cessna announced the Citation X at the NBAA convention in October 1990. The prototype first flew on 21 December 1993, the FAA certified it on 3 June 1996 and the first aircraft was delivered in July 1996. The design team won the Collier Trophy in 1997. Cessna built 339 in total, 310 Citation X and 29 Citation X+, and the last one was delivered in 2018.
The Citation X has a new wing swept back 37 degrees, a T tail, an area ruled fuselage and two Rolls-Royce AE3007 engines. It was the first Cessna with Rolls-Royce engines and powered flight controls. After 2002, thrust rose by 5 percent and the maximum takeoff weight by 400 lb. The Citation X+ came in 2012, with a 14 in longer cabin, Garmin G5000 avionics, stronger AE3007C2 engines and winglets as standard.
NetJets is the main user. It ordered 60 and then 21 more, and XOJET flew about 20. Companies and private owners fly the Citation X too.
