The Citation Latitude is Cessna's midsize jet with a wide, flat floor cabin that you can stand up in. It carries up to nine passengers and flies about 2,700 nautical miles. Textron calls it the best selling midsize business jet, and it is common on charter fleets.
Cessna announced the Latitude at the NBAA convention in October 2011. The prototype first flew on 18 February 2014 in Wichita, Kansas. The FAA certified it on 5 June 2015, and the first deliveries began on 27 August 2015. By May 2024, 400 had been built.
The Latitude keeps the wing of the Citation Sovereign, the T shaped cruciform tail and two Pratt & Whitney Canada PW306D1 engines. What is new is the round, all metal fuselage with a flat floor. Cessna later reused that fuselage for the Citation Longitude. The flight deck uses Garmin G5000 avionics.
Medium size companies and large fleet operators fly the Latitude. NetJets is the biggest user, and it flew its aircraft more than 1,000 hours a year (as reported in 2018).
