Karissa is awesome! I loved training with her, she is so smart and knowledgeable, kind, and patient. Not to mention a 21 year old flight instructor—that’s badass!! Nothing but the best times. I felt I progressed fast and while being younger it was really valuable having someone that understood who I was, a younger guy, who liked to dress casually, and enjoy my flying while learning. Karissa rocks—thanks FTP! I will always look back at Karissa and FTP as the best way to start a flying hobby/career ever! I’ll miss you guys

I trained at FTP for my private pilot’s license and they were fantastic! The owner, Keith, is a great guy and runs a very professional and upstanding school. The whole Cessna 172 fleet is new, equipped with G1000 avionics suites, and maintained very well. Through my 110+ hours flying with FTP (training and renting), I’ve never felt unsafe in one of their planes. The instructors are top-notch and Keith makes an effort to match students with instructors that they’ll enjoy flying with. My instructor Travis was awesome and we’re friends to this day. The chief flight instructors are experts and were always open to help out during my training. I toured 3 flight schools before FTP and just about everything set them apart from the rest. I was nervous being the new guy in a building full of experts, but the guys and gals at FTP were extremely welcoming and made me feel like I belonged, even as a 0-hour prospective student. They even invited me out to taco Tuesday lunch the day I came in to tour the school. Great folks all around! The curriculum they use is made by Cessna and I felt that it completely prepared me for my checkride. The pricing for hours and instructors is very fair- it is slightly more expensive than some other local flight schools ($20-30 total per hour including the instructor), but this is well worth it considering the quality of instruction and aircraft. The extra $20 an hour is worth the peace of mind knowing that you won’t have an engine failure and that your instructor is actually teaching what you need to know. You get what you pay for in aviation. The location at Orlando Exec also adds to the value of training. In my opinion, learning to fly at a controlled airport that is relatively busy seriously sharpens your skills flying around other aircraft and working the radio. Lots of schools in Florida are at uncontrolled, less busy airfields (which is cool) but won’t lead to the same kind of confidence at busy airports you may want to fly to. Orlando Exec is also just a cool place, there’s tons of different types of planes flying in and out (private jets, fancy single engines, occasional military aircraft, etc) so if you’re an aviation enthusiast, you’ll definitely enjoy the experience. All in all, I had a wonderful experience training with FTP and continue to have a great time renting from them now! Top notch flight school; I highly recommend you come check them out

Everyone at FTP truly cares about their student’s success. People who walk in through their doors are treated like family, like my parents and I were during the initial interview. My mom is a senior flight attendant with Delta. She was equally impressed by the company’s knowledgeable staff, along with their classrooms, equipment, and fleet of clean and up-to-date planes. After being with the company for many months, I feel very satisfied with my decision to join the company, and the financial investment with FTP I’ve made after that visit.

I started training with Flight Training Professionals a year ago, and I cannot recommend this school enough! Brandon has been an outstanding instructor who has become both a mentor and a friend that I look forward to flying with every lesson. It’s clear that the staff at FT Pros really care about your aviation goals and will do everything they can to help you succeed. Their fleet of Cessnas is probably the nicest in the industry, as they are always clean and extremely well maintained. Never have I had a lesson cancelled due to maintenance! I recently finished up my PPL with FT Pros, and intend to continue training with them for my future ratings.

As a flight school, the folks at FTP are top notch. My instructors made me know the information and skills inside and out, but most of all, they taught me how to make good decisions when it comes to flying and personal minimums. There have been several times now as a Private Pilot that a strange or new situation has hit me off guard. You take a deep breath, and you realize why all that training matters. You hear your instructor whispering to you from somewhere in the back of your head guiding your decisions. You fly the plane. I am a confident pilot because of their care. I am grateful for this new world of flying to now be a part of. These days I am a plane rental customer. They meticulously attend to the maintenance requirements of their aircraft fleet. The plane is always safe and ready to go when I arrive and grab the keys for an adventure. Their staff is always friendly and helpful to get you on your way and get you in the air.
