12 years agoOver the course of a few months, a G&K attorney promised me to do a task--and cashed my >$5,000 payment for it--that probably didn't require more than a couple hours of work. He became busy with other work, and kept putting mine off. Then, finally, as he became overwhelmed with other work, he simply dropped mine. Had he said he wasn't interested in the beginning, I could have gotten another lawyer. It was an extremely time-sensitive matter. My conclusion: he cares about some of his clients, maybe, and others don't merit even the time of day. As for G&K, they refused to give my money back. On a previous matter, the same attorney simply forgot to do something else that he indicated to me he had done. (And he cashed another >$5,000 payment.) For months, I was exposed to a contempt of court violation without my knowledge. And, had I not given up on G&K and gotten another lawyer, I could have ended up in prison. G&K again refused to refund my money.
