I earned my PPL earlier this year at FlyUp Academy, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. The instructors here are top-notch! They're not only highly knowledgeable but also incredibly patient and supportive throughout the learning process. I highly recommend FlyUp Academy to anyone pursuing their pilot's license. Furthermore, the Casarrubios aerodrome provides an excellent training environment. Five stars all the way!

Highly recommend FlyUp as the best flight school in Europe. First of all it's located in Madrid, Spain where almost every single day has the flight weather, it's located only 30-40 minutes from international Barajas airport next to Madrid, the airdrome and the flight school has own living facilities, so you can stay at the airdrome to fly and do not need to spend time and money on both ways to/from airdrome. The airdrome has big asphalt runway, restaurant and hotel rooms. I enjoyed flying under supervision of FlyUp's experienced instructors such as Algirdas, Javier, Jonathan, they always share their knowledge and each flight brought me additional value. Thanks to Maxim who is FlyUp's director I was able to understand and finally sucessfully performed all the procedures/exams/certifications in order to get EASA PPL based on my Ukranian PPL, also I was able to prolong my Ukrainian PPL by performing flight check with certified examiner. Each time when I come to FlyUp, I enjoy the individual FlyUp's approach and the opportunity the school is giving to me as additional service such as ability to rent the aircraft to fly whenever I want to or they could pick me up from the airport, provide a room for a living, share last knowledge from the aviation/pilot education world. Wish guys all the best in their development and do really recommend FlyUp as your professional way to get access to the sky.

Whatever happens, happens for a good reason! I’ve accidentally found Fly Up Academy on Instagram of one my friends and started a research on what are the conditions to obtain EASA PPL with them and was pleasantly surprised that they offered it for same price as I could get non-EASA license. Additionally another thing that picked me up was that practice part was in Madrid, Spain and accommodation provided at the airfield that allows you to concentrate all your efforts on getting to the skill test part within minimum amount of time. So I’ve contacted Fly Up and was offered to do my theory online via ZOOM or do self-study as all the books been provided for iPad and the books were really easy to read and understand. Theory exam was passed with no issues as support been provided from the school all the time including preparations phase. Once theory was done and dusted, agreed the date on joining the school in Madrid and the next day after arrival there I was already flying the aircraft. I managed to get through required 45 flying hours within 4 weeks and was really unwilling to leave that place as lots of things been very nice there. First of all people are extremely hospital in the school, I was picked up and dropped at the airport when I required, any time I needed a car for groceries I was provided with that. Secondly, instructors are awesome. All of them are really knowledgable willing to share all the skills to get you to the first solo flight within 12 hours. Accommodation was pretty good and there was also an option of a room in nearby hotel if you want something more then provided by school. By the way restaurant in that hotel was really nice as it is family run and very affordable (10.5 euros for lunch of 2 dishes, dessert, coffee or beer/wine if you have no more flights that day). The major advantage is that you wake up already at the airfield and you do not need to drive anywhere. There is no better sound to wake up for aviation geek, rather then piston engine aircraft taking off in 100 meters away. I can’t miss and admire location of the airfield itself. Haven’t missed a single day of flying as flying conditions there are acceptable most of the times of a year. Additionally to that you are taking off within minutes after start up as it is not so busy and you do not waste your flying hours for taxing and waiting at holding points on other aircrafts to take off or land. Aircrafts are all new and in ideal for training, but if you like something extra, guys also have Cessna 172 and Beechcraft for familiarization. Well, as I mentioned earlier I had some really sad feelings when I passed my skill test and was a time to start heading back home. Just couldn’t believe that it is over. I will come back there definitely, as I would like to carry on with my CPL and guys offer really good deal for time building as well as can help with purchase of own aircraft if you want to go that way. To make long story short - very nice school where you can feel as part of family and not just as a student, where you want to come back again and again. Total time spent from the moment I’ve been given study material to the moment I passed skill test in Madrid was 3 months and that’s exactly what I required.

It was definitely period, when lots of lifetime memories are created: great people around, life in modest and cozy house next to airport, experienced instructors (thanks Jonathan and Algirdas - you are great!!!), flights every day, amazing food in airport restaurant. My whole PPL study was accompanied by holistic support of school Admin stuff: Juliya and Natalia never let me down with whatever request I had. Management of the school is representation of passion and professionalism, who love their job, love what they do and do it GREAT. I have most positive feedback about the school and regret that experience of first solo flight can only be once a lifetime, but happy it was with that school! Hope in future they can keep very high bar, they have set for themselves. Highly recommended! Sergii, Oct 2022

I did my PPL with Fly up, and got my licence in less than 45 days. The school made all the means possible for me to adjust to my tight schedule, the weather in Casarubios was also a helping factor as it is convient to fly through out the year. Thank you Fly up for making me a private pilot.
