Gulfstream G700 Achieves 50-Delivery Milestone in Record Time

Gulfstream Aerospace has achieved a significant production milestone, delivering its 50th G700 ultra-long-range business jet just 13 months after the aircraft entered service in April 2024. The latest delivery was completed at the manufacturer’s Savannah, Georgia facility, marking robust demand for what has become the industry’s most spacious business aircraft.

Fleet Accumulates Impressive Operational Hours

The global G700 fleet has already logged more than 11,700 flight hours since service entry, demonstrating both the aircraft’s reliability and strong utilization rates among operators worldwide. This operational data reflects the confidence customers have placed in Gulfstream’s newest flagship model.

Mark Burns, Gulfstream’s president, highlighted the program’s success: “Demand for the G700 continues to grow, and this aircraft is exceeding customer expectations with each new delivery. Reaching 50 deliveries at this stage in the program is a testament to its unparalleled maturity and the quality of our advanced manufacturing and outfitting techniques.”

Setting New Standards in Speed Performance

The G700 has established itself as a speed record champion, achieving more than 80 city-pair speed records since entering service. Among the notable achievements was a sustainable aviation fuel-powered mission from Savannah to Honolulu, covering 4,090 nautical miles in 8 hours and 52 minutes at Mach 0.90. The aircraft also demonstrated trans-Pacific capability with a Los Angeles to Sydney flight of 6,507 nautical miles completed in 14 hours and 26 minutes.

Revolutionary Cabin Design and Comfort

With a cabin volume of 2,603 cubic feet, the G700 offers the most spacious interior in business aviation. The aircraft can accommodate up to five distinct living areas and features innovative amenities that set new industry standards:

  • Industry-first ultra-galley or grand suite with fixed bed and shower
  • Lowest cabin altitude in business aviation at 2,840 feet when cruising at FL410
  • Ultra-high-definition circadian lighting system for passenger wellbeing
  • High-speed internet connectivity packages for seamless global communication
  • 100% fresh air system with abundant natural light

Advanced Engineering and Performance

The G700’s exceptional performance is powered by twin Rolls-Royce Pearl turbofans, each producing 18,250 pounds of thrust. Key performance specifications include:

  • Maximum range: 7,750 nautical miles at Mach 0.85
  • High-speed range: 6,650 nautical miles at Mach 0.90
  • Maximum operating speed: Mach 0.935
  • Avionics: Gulfstream Symmetry flight deck featuring Honeywell touchscreens
  • Flight controls: Fly-by-wire system with BAE Active Sidesticks

Expanding Global Presence

The G700’s international footprint continues to grow, with Hong Kong Jet taking delivery of the first aircraft in the Asia-Pacific region in January 2025. This milestone reflects the aircraft’s appeal to operators seeking ultra-long-range capability combined with unprecedented cabin comfort and customization options.
