A current student at this school. My decision to become a part of this awesome FAMILY, because it is a family 1st and a business later, was taken after meeting the owners and the CFI. All of them are great people with a HEAVY background on aviation both from the H.A.F and civilian airlines. All of the instructors are EXPERIENCED aviators with many hours of flight both military and civilian. The equipment and the aircraft are modern and top notch and safety comes ALWAYS FIRST. I am very happy with my decision and i am enjoying each flight more than the previous ones. Here you will not only learn theory and how to fly, but how to become a better aviator and a person. It will be worth your time visiting this school in your search before making a final decision.
An extra star for friendly and helpful commercial manager.
Biggest red flag is the CFI Konstantinos Glynis, very arrogant individual causing misinterpretations of EASA regulations costing you more money for training than is needed.
Was quoted for an ICAO - EASA conversion 3-4x the amount than what is needed due to "any training after the CPL skill test, DO NOT count as ab-initio training". This is clearly incorrect as confirmed by many other ATO's. Can confirm this personally due to now obtaining my EASA license.
CFI did not want to discuss this issue at all and ended the conversation early.
Perhaps this place is good for abinitio training, but definitely not for conversions. Stay away from CFIs with big egos regardless of where you go.
Great school with very friendly staff.
I came for a license conversion and they were very helpful. I would like to thank them for their flexibility, availability and support from the start - I was on a tight schedule and they did everything they could to accommodate me.
Regarding training, the instructors know what they are talking about - most of them former Greek Air Force - and the airplanes are great to fly!
Special thanks to V, E, Cpt G, Cpt S, and Cpt N.
I had a great experience with T.A.E Aviation Academy. All of my questions were answered promptly and they were very patient during the entire process. A first class company that employs first class people. I highly recommend.
