I love this place. The people are awesome. I've purchased a plane ride here for myself and my friend, it was a great time!
We also come here for fuel. You bring your own approved jug and they fill it for you. Excellent for use in racing cars.
The gentleman joe that took my son on his introductory flight was awesome. We talked to me and my gf about what was going on and where they would go. He explained everything to my son who was pretty nervous about it and went over all the safety precautions. This place is amazing and I can't wait to take him again . If your ever bored check this little airport out the guys they are all friendly .
MAKE SURE “DISPATCHER” MAKES APPT OR ELSE YOU WON’T HAVE ONE.
On July 11th I made an appt. for an Intro Flying Class scheduled to be on July 20th. I spoke with Mike, super nice laid back guy, who gave me all the details, what to expect, what to wear, etc. The following week I get a call from someone who said they were told me call me, I informed him I was all set, including who and when I spoke too. He was attempting to move my appt from a Monday to a Sunday. I said if (who the appt is for) wants to have that date I will call back.
Fast forward to July 20th the day of the original appt. to take the Intro class and we have no appt! The “dispatcher” informed me I was supposed to call him back, and I said “Yes, if I wanted my original appt time rescheduled.” The, “Dispatcher” never spoke to Mike who made the original appt. from our previous mid week convo, I proceeded to ask if he recorded conversations so he can listen to what we (myself and “dispatcher”) discussed and his response was, “do you?” At that point I knew this was a waste of time.
There are to many other local airports who would love business. I would not mind traveling at this point to avoid being treated poorly. Never an apology for the inconvenience, never a this just a miscommunication, nothing. “Dispatcher” informed me upper management would be informed. I’ll hold my breath waiting for that phone call.
