Recommend using units on flat, solid, smooth surfaces such as concrete or asphalt. Depending on situation, packed gravel and hard grass/dirt can work with upgraded caster recommended.
Most inclines up to 5-6% will work depending on total weight and selected unit.
Rule of thumb: for every percentage point increase in incline, effective total weight increases by 10%.
Example: 7,000 lb trailer up 3% incline increases by 2,100 lbs (30% x 7,000 lbs) for effective weight of 9,100 lbs.
Take closer look at anything over 5% incline.
Can move over snow/ice with pair of snow chains highly recommended.
