Fantastic introduction flight for my grandson. Instructor Kell Johnson did a fabulous job introducing him to flying. He was very patient and safety minded. Highly recommend Horizon AvIation.

First off, I wanted to send a huge shoutout to Horizon Aviation for everything over the past three weeks of training. My former instructor recently went to the airlines and I was having trouble with obtaining quality flight instruction after his departure for the airlines. My former flight instructor mentioned Horizon Aviation as a great flight school to attend that has a great track record with positive checkride results, safe pilot operations, professional staff and instructor group. I reached out to Horizon Aviation and spoke with Kel! Kel and I had a very great initial conversation. Kel understood that in my line of work, I only had limited opportunities to schedule flight training and he was able to accommodate every single request that I needed. Kel laid out a great plan of action on how we can accomplish an accelerated style commercial pilot training to obtain my commercial aircraft single engine land license. I was assigned flight instructor Alex who from Day 1 was a great instructor to work with. Alex was very beneficial to my training because he actually started from day 1 and completed all his training at Horizon aviation but also had extensive knowledge to the actual plane I was flying the entire time during my three weeks at Horizon Aviation. Whenever I was struggling with certain aspects of my ground training at home, he was very accessible to obtain clarification within minutes of asking. Thank you helping me understand the why behind the what and you definitely made me a more competent pilot. On the eve of my checkride, I completed one last flight with CFI Josh. Josh is a newly license certified flight instructor who is wise beyond his years and he’s going to produce great pilots as his career as a cfi and experience continues to grow. Josh was outstanding, knowledgeable and a great instructor to work with on my final day of training. Josh was a major lifesaver prior to my checkride as I had a few last minute questions that needed to be answered a prior to my checkride. Those questions came up and I was able to confidently answer each question that was on topic. Kel , Alex and Josh I am forever grateful for the hardworking and dedication you guys put into my accelerated training. Thanks for helping me through the process of obtaining my commercial pilot license. I look forward to working with the team as I continue on with my cfi training at Horizon Aviation. Had a great experience flying with Alex at Horizon. He was very flexible and had me well prepared for my Single Engine Land add on to my Commercial Certificate.

I started Horizon Aviation a little over a week ago and it has been one of the best decisions I’ve made! I checked out reviews of other places around and found that most everyone else either pushed you through like you were just another number or made learning so hard you failed out when looking at reviews for Horizon it seemed like a no brainer and it has been exactly that! My instructor has been phenomenal! Shell, is fantastic and is a wealth of knowledge! I have been thoroughly impressed at how well I’ve been progressing thanks to the training from Shell! One thing I value over all is safety and I have yet to feel as though what we are doing is unsafe. Honestly, I was a little scared of the thought of flying a plane but that faded quickly and I’ve fallen in love with flying! Kel the owner is fantastic as well and is super responsive and knows his stuff! Overall my experience, thus far, has been well above what I was expecting! I’ll give an update when I reach CFI! If you’re on the fence about it, just do your discovery here and you’ll understand what I mean when I say, Horizon Aviation stands out among the options available at FFC!
