2 years agoNormally I would give it 5 stars but this year was not one of the best years. They had the typical displays that you can go inside of. The disappointment was the air show. They didn't have any of the special teams flying today (Sunday) and it ended an hr early. Infant one of the planes that was part of the static display got taxied out while the show was still happening. I would be more upset if we had to pay for our tickets. Hopefully next year is better. The one nice thing was we did get to sit under a wing this year, the shade was a very welcomed thing.

8 months agoNice that they moved it to the afternoon. A great show, make sure to stay for the finale. Drone show, fireworks, and a plane flying through them at night with it's own fireworks. Bring ear protection! Active duty and retired/disabled veteran discount tickets available at Travis AFB and Beale AFB ITT

a year agoThe California Capital Air Show at Mather Air Field was an incredible display of aerial acrobatics and fighter jet power. Thanks to VIP tickets from my wife's company, a proud sponsor, we were able to have a top-notch experience at this packed event. The afternoon was filled with jaw-dropping performances by some of the most talented pilots around. They maneuvered massive planes in ways that seemed to defy physics. The show featured the USAF Thunderbirds, whose stunning formation flying exemplified teamwork and precision. There were gravity-defying stunts by aerobatic champions in their brightly colored prop planes. The fan-favorite demo team had the crowd on their feet with amazing almost vertical climbs. Despite the long walk from parking, the event was smoothly run. Witnessing these feats help contextualize the importance of skilled pilots. With world-class entertainment and perfect weather, the California Capital Air Show was a patriotic, family-friendly event that celebrated aviation. My wife and I felt honored to attend thanks to our VIP experience. We appreciated the chance to witness incredible flying firsthand and gain new appreciation for the pilots who push the limits in the sky. It was an unbelievable air show that won't soon be forgotten!
