My 13 year old son did a discovery flight with Ed. He said it was the best experience of his life. Ed was very kind, provided a wonderful walk through of the plane and even took pictures when they were flying. At the end he shared how my son could continue his flying experience through clubs. Would highly recommend!
In response to Williams comments, The runways are under ATC control. The plane on the runway more than likely had the option. You need to brush up on tower controlled operations. The pilot or pilots would have been only talking to tower not other pilots. I would like to know how you knew there was a student & instructor in the plane. You must have x-ray vision for 1900 ft at 90knots. Beside if you were on downwind you more than likely not cleared to land just yet. Been flying out of Waukesha airport for the past 12 years. I have yet to experience any kind of situation like the one described.
This is a very unsafe instructor and company. I was on down wind as this instructor and student were landing. They stayed on the runway and did not move with out to a taxi way or even informing any other pilots in the pattern of their intentions. This was a very unsafe action as there is a taxiway just off the runway that they should have used. If I were looking for an instructor I would look further as I feel this place is very unsafe and could get people killed.

a month agoMy 4-year-old enjoys all the airplanes and the information that comes along. Someday, it would be awesome to get her up in an airplane.
