11 months agoFerne and I had a great 55th Anniversary "date" on board SML Aviation's seaplane. Pilot Jack Phillips repeatedly circled parts of the lake that had special meaning to us and made several marshmallow-smooth water landings, one right in our neighborhood cove. Just a fantastic experience....makes a GREAT gift (but be sure to go along if you can!)

a year agoWe did a discovery flight on the seaplane for my wife's birthday. Our pilot, Jack, gave us a fun tour of the lake and landed in our cove so the extended family could get in on the adventure. I highly recommend this for folks who want to unique adventure when at Smith Mountain Lake.

2 years agoVery nice flight school with awesome people. I did a sunset flight with my girlfriend and we couldn’t be happier. I’m a pilot and I would definitely recommend them for a great place to learn how to fly. The small town atmosphere is much better then a larger school when it comes to becoming a good pilot. I wish I lived closer when I was getting my private.
