5 months agoI received a gift certificate for Bay Aviation for a birthday, and flew in 2023. It was an amazing experience, I loved flying in the open air plane, the instructor was professional and I felt safe the whole time, and it was really cool to see the area from up above. I highly recommend it. A thrilling experience!

2 years agoI've been to local area a couple times in the last year. Each time I've taken a flight in Bay Aviation's PT-19. Take a morning flight, the views are incredible. The guy there is friendly and makes great suggestions on how and when to enjoy the flight. I'll be back!!!

5 years agoAfter getting my private pilot license and instrument rating, I was looking for the next challenge and decided on the tailwheel endorsement. Being from the west coast, Virginia was a stretch, but Mike at Bay Aviation with his PT-19 WWII era plane made the trip worth it! Not only was Mike a knowledgable person and helped instruct me through the tailwheel endorsement, he also helped me become a more safe and experienced pilot. For the pilot who trained in Cessna's or closed cockpit airplanes, the training in the PT-19 (open cockpit) was something I personally will not forget and highly recommend. Between the quality of instruction, history behind the plane, and the gorgeous area of the flight training, it was well worth the money spent to get the tailwheel endorsement. Took about 7 hours of flight and some ground instruction, but getting the chance to learn from Mike was honestly worth it in itself. I will be recommending to friends in the aviation community as long as Bay Aviation is around. Go get that tailwheel done in the Blue and Yellow!!

11 months agoCouldn't recommend more. Owner is super knowledgeable and nice, and flight is tons of fun - couldn't stop smiling the entire time. Really cool to see Virginia coast and to experience WWII training plane.
