Was planning to fly here with my fiancée so she could scuba Homestead Crater, glad I read the reviews and Foreflight comments! Flew into Provo and rented a car from there, no way am I supporting this airport and FBO unless they get their act together. Maybe reporting them to AOPA will help.
Nice airport, ran clean and sharp. Janae at the front desk is the Boss, she keeps the employees in line and always working. She is friendly, professional and will help w anything you need. ⭐⭐⭐⭐
I wouldn’t land at this airport even if I had to declare an emergency. I don’t think I can add anything the other pilots haven’t already mentioned. STEAR CLEAR
I’m a corporate pilot who was been to LOTS of FBOs and this is always the worst one ever. Outrageous fuel prices and facility/landing fees. The staff are friendly enough but that’s where the positive ends. They charged my PERSONAL credit card this last time for the heap of fees (which I’m pretty sure is illegal as I only gave it to them for the crew car deposit and did not approve it for anything else) and then told me there was nothing they could do about moving it to another card or anything. Run away folks. Provo and Salt Lake have awesome FBOs that care about their customers.
We flew in to drop off a friend who lives in the area on our way home and regretted it the minute we walked into the FBO. I’ve heard other pilots complain about ok3 but figured it was just a few people who have had a bad experience and were exaggerating. But we were treated poorly the second we walked in, they actually seemed frustrated that they even had to talk to us. We were charged the highest landing and ramp access fees I have ever paid even after purchasing fuel (most FBOs I have visited wave fees when you purchase fuel). JetA was more expensive than our home airport KOGD, then because we were smaller (twin turbo prop) they made us wait for 2 hours for fuel while they fueled larger jets who arrived after us and took care of VIPs and then decided to tack on an after hour call out charge because they technically closed a few minutes before they finished fueling us. Myself and the other pilot I was with have decided we will avoid this airport if at all possible because it’s clear they don’t want you there unless your in a jet, and they want to jerk you around so they can add on extra fees. Avoid this airport and FBO if you can. It’s not worth dealing with this operator.
