4 years agoThis is a flight school where you can get training and your license, but for most people, this is the place you can come to go on a flight during which you get to fly a katana plane. The experience is incredible and not too expensive. The instructors are great and will make sure that you have a great time and are comfortable with everything.

a year agoDiamond Flight Centre offers an exceptional experience for aspiring professional pilots. I came here as a self-paced student and this place offered me the best training I ever had, even though I graduated from a “top” aviation university in the United States. Dave Brown, Greg Burnard, Steve Marsh and Laurence Gauci are world class instructors and I am grateful for their patience along the way. Don’t get me wrong, you can’t come here and expect to magically become a great pilot. It is very demanding and challenging, and as a student they expect you to give it your all just as they do, so don’t show up unprepared or even half-prepared. When you have a fleet of aircraft and simulators with this level of leadership it is easy to see how demand exceeds supply, so perhaps they aren’t able to accommodate everyone and I see that in some negative google reviews. Don’t be misguided by that, this place represents the pinnacle of initial pilot training in Canada, just as Diamond Aircraft represents the pinnacle of modern general aviation aircraft. Thank you Dave, Steve and Greg for sharing your knowledge, experiences and time without prejudice, you are representative of true educators and aviators.

a year agoWhen I got to London, I was really excited at the possibility of getting a little instruction time in a Diamond aircraft (I'm a rusty U.S. Pilot) and get some experience flying in Canadian airspace. I sent in an email a month before a day I had free to schedule some time. After a week of no reply, I called. The person who answered the phone told me that the CFI was really bad at quick replies to email, but assured me that they eventually would. A week later I sent a follow up email. Again, no reply. A follow up phone call got the same answer, "If you gave a specific date, you'll eventually get a reply." I checked my spam folders and junk email to be sure it didn't accidently diverted. Eventually, I emailed the other flight school at the London airport. They got back to me the same day and I got to get some really great flight experience in Canadian airspace. I have a second flight scheduled. I'm not sure if this flight school is owned by Diamond Aircraft or just has the same name. If they are the same company, I certainly hope Diamond treats potential customers better than they do potential students.

4 years agoA Google Review doesn't do justice to the quality of the training and the professionalism of the team at DFC. I came here "off the street" for ME-IR ratings and in hindsight I would be foolish to have considered training anywhere else. They train you for skills and competencies you will need to fly real-world, not just to pass a scripted flight test. Instructors are not time builders but experienced with many years of teaching and 'real-world' flying. Aircraft are well maintained, the simulators are perfect for bad-weather days and the London Airport is just busy enough to offer a challenge without the overly-complex airspace. Thank you Bill, Laurence, Mike and Dave for the excellent training.

a year agoIf I could give 0 stars I would! They are racist, ignorant, and extremely unhelpful. Horrible place. Don't go here and don't sign up for their flight school if you're not white.
