9 months agoI went through Cornerstones Private Pilot program back in 2019 and got my license to fly in 2020. I enjoyed everything about it. I started ground school through a high school program and fell in love with aviation. Initially, I wanted to fly out of Ogden Airport. I was told I could but they were fullish and it would be hard to get hours. They guided me to their Salt Lake Location and I was worried about talking with ATC at first. They have great instructors, tools, and resources to be able to guide and help all student pilots. Most of the instructors are straight out of college and just building hours. I flew with two different ones on a regular basis. Tyler and Claire. They are both airline pilots now and taught me great things about the aviation world and were more than just instructors. They were mentors and friends at the end of the day. I loved to fly out of SLC and would recommend it to anyone who is wanting to fly for a career as it will just build your confidence to fly in a Class B airspace every flight.

4 years agoI wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Cornerstone to anyone! Their flight syllabus is detailed, their aircraft are safe, and the learning environment is great. Michelle and Max at the front desk are some of the coolest and kindest people I’ve met and will help you out no matter the issue. Dallas Lee is has been a fantastic CFII and I have zipped through all my instrument hours in just a little over a month flying their G1000 equipped planes. Dallas is a great teacher and will help you grasp complex topics. Every flight school has maintenance issues, every flight school has the occasional scheduling conflict, if you can just be patient and flexible you’ll love the training you receive.

3 years agoI recently had an intro flight lesson with David E Jewell, and I felt that I should put my input, me being a first time flyer, he was extremely patient, kind and fun despite the fact I knew almost nothing about flight. He was able to teach me in a way that I understood everything he was saying, I felt no worry whatsoever when in the airplane with him. I believe that he was the perfect example for what a great flight instructor should be. After my experience with him I will almost definitely be coming back to Cornerstone Aviation to learn more about flight as well as recommending your services to my friends and family.

2 years agoIm currently a first officer at SkyWest Airlines and I couldn't have gotten here without Cornerstone! They're an amazing school to help you get your flight training done and reach your goals. They have an awesome staff and they're willing to go the extra mile to help you out with your needs. I definitely recommend going to Cornerstone, Utahs premier flight school.

3 years agoI started my flight training here and am nearly done and I have not regretted it. The staff and instructors are knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. The instructors helped me fully prepare for my checkrides. They have a great fleet of planes and I rarely had issues in plane availability due to maintenance. I also liked that they had a location in Salt Lake City and Ogden. If someone is looking for a flight school, I would tell them to save their time and go to CSA.
