Some of the best instructors around!! I completed my PPL in about 6 months (I was having to take lessons around my work schedule, wedding & I was pregnant lol). David Evans is a fantastic instructor. He is extremely knowledgeable and his calm temperament helped to ease my nerves as a new pilot. I also trained with Alicia, who is now with the airlines (yay for airlines, sad for us), and she polished my skills in the air and on the radio so I felt confident going into my check ride. I had a mock check ride with Dylan who I cannot recommend enough. This school provides new pilots with very competent instructors and the volume of traffic at the airport will amplify your experience. I feel very safe in the planes as the school does a great job keeping up with maintenance. I still rent the planes as a private pilot and hope to continue to do so for years to come!

Greenville Aviation is full of so much passion and incredibly driven pilots and instructors. If you want to learn about aviation, earn a private pilot certificate, or even just take a discovery flight around greenville, I can't recommend them enough. My instructor, Walker, has been incredible too. For such a complicated activity, he's managed to break it down into very easy to understand material and helped get me farther than I could have imagined in such a brief period of time. An activity that went from dream to reality. Ryan is always on location diligently taking care of anything and everything related to greenville aviation too. All of the other instructors and pilots I've met have been super informative and honestly, there's an instructor for every kind of personality. If you're on the fence, come by and try it out! You'll be hooked and before you know it, you'll feel like family. Edit: after 3.5 months, I have my private pilot certificate thanks to the incredible instructors here! Never looking back Edit 1 year: myself and many other pilots have come and gone and earned many new ratings. This is absolutely the place to be if you want to learn to fly. Save yourself money vs some other pay ahead of time schools and programs and learn with an invested and pleasant group of people who want you to succeed! Come stop by! Edit 3 years later: A lot has changed at this flight school in the last few years… it’s incredible! I’ve had the opportunity to fly with several amazing instructors such as Eroll, Mark, Clayton, Patrick, Sam, and Dylan as well as many others and I’ve learned something new from all of them. In the last few years, Ryan has built up an amazing team of line personnel who are all just as dedicated and professional as the CFIs. This is the only flight school I know of who will be there and ready for you when you return to fill your plane with fuel and tow you back to the school. Likewise, it’s one of the few flight schools I know of which can almost usually guarantee that when you show up, your plane will be ready and full of fuel for you as well. In these past few years, I’ve completed my Private pilot certificate, instrument rating, commercial certificate, and now I can proudly say this school and its amazing team have helped me earn my certified flight instructor as well. I’m a CFI and with their help, I’ve accomplished all of these without a single checkride failure. Shout out to Ryan, Bill, and Zach for all of their hard dedicated work on the line through it all as well. I absolutely recommend this flight school and encourage anyone who feels that slight itch to try, to come and give it a shot at Greenville Aviation!

I scheduled the 1-hr extended Discovery Flight for my boyfriend as a birthday surprise and it was not a disappointment! We didn't have to wait when we got there, we met with our instructor Cody A. who was very professional, very friendly, and made us feel super comfortable about the flight. He was very informational and even took pictures for me when my boyfriend and kids went as I stayed there waiting for them to return. Highly recommend!!! Super fun, too!! Great place to learn to fly and get your ratings. Great instructors, and overall a very good setup with the classroom and the simulator. Very professional and very friendly. Highly recommended!! Had a great time flying today with Ron! I’ve been thinking about pursuing my pilot license for a while and decided to take a discovery flight to see if it’s something I would like. Ron was very polite and knowledgeable, answering every question I had. Needless to say, I will be back soon! Highly recommend to anyone thinking of getting their license or just wanting a new perspective on Greenville from the sky!
