Berkshire Hathaway Guard Insurance

I love Berkshire Hathaway Insurance Company. My Adjuster was Manny M. He did an awesome and wonderful job. He was very knowledgeable and intelligent. Things went smoothly and as planned. I was overwhelmed at how easy the process was. Thank you so much Manny M. Keep up the good work. You are appreciated.

THIS IS A RIP OFF INSURANCE COMPANY...BEWARE! I was going to switch workers comp companies, so I got a quote and started a policy with Berkshire Hathaway GUARD insurance. I had not yet cancelled with my current workers comp insurance and they ended up discounting my workers comp. I had called GUARD back several times to cancel, but couldn't reach anyone...just voicemail. They didn't return my calls, but I left messages that I needed to cancel. I also sent them an email stating that I needed to cancel the workers comp policy. I finally had gotten a hold of someone to let them know that I needed to cancel. I let them know that I was getting statements. They told me to "Just ignore the statement and that they would get back with me." THIS IS A SCAM INSURANCE COMPANY. You HAVE to PAY the policy regardless if you are double insured or not or even if you try to cancel. I have been trying to cancel this company shortly after signing up and now they are hitting me with over $7000. They sent this off to their attorneys and the attorneys say that it is in the contract that I have to pay because I did not follow the steps to cancel, however I reached out to them in several different ways to cancel, even in writing via email. They don't care...once you sign up, you can no longer reach them to cancel...or it is very difficult. I honestly think they do this on purpose just to get that money. I have NEVER heard of an insurance company insisting on their money regardless if you are double insured. Usually, as soon as you prove that you are double insured, on top of the proof that I was cancelling early after I signed up, that is usually all they need to then not charge someone. This company is very shady and I will let every business know exactly what they have done to me. $7000 for what? They provided NOTHING to me! Scam company!!! I use Auto Owners and WCF who are reputable companies. They would NEVER do this to me. I should've just went to them first. The entire reason for signing on with this workers comp company was because my workers comp was increasing...I should've talked to them first because they lowered my workers comp by $1200. This company purposely makes it EXTREMELY difficult to reach a person, so if someone tries to cancel, they make it near impossible. This company will be hearing from my attorney.

I highly recommend this company based on their personal service. Berkshire Hathaway GUARD came through for us. We had a pipe burst within a bedroom wall. We had major flooding causing damage to our floors and walls throughout most of our house. Our claim adjuster, Mr. Matt broke down step by step what we needed to do on our end. He set us up with temporary housing. He gave us weekly updates. As stressful as this was, (it happened during the Xmas holiday), OUR insurance company made this so much easier to deal with. Thank you from a very satisfied client.

Let me say upfront that business insurance is not cheap, we must have it, and yet we hope to never have to use it. That said, when i had to file a claim i was worried it would be a long, painful, drawn out experience. I'm extremely pleased to share that with the support of my Berkshire adjuster Charlie it could not have been easier! The paperwork is the paperwork, no getting around it but with Charlie's great communication skills coupled with a good sense of humor I can say it was truly a pleasure. In what seemed like no time, we were done and the check's on its way!! Bravo...Oh Yeah, Roll Tide
