Do not buy their insurance, even though CubeSmart forces you to buy it. Their pamphlets DO NOT state the exclusions (a DECEPTIVE PRACTICE) that you need the most > rodents in a climate controlled building. I highly recommend you switch your insurance, and inspect all your boxes with CubeSmart. You think your stuff is well protected in a climate controlled "sealed" building, but that is where the mice want to be in Winter. Call their pamphlet number to understand your insurance, and request a refund - cause you were deceived. The OGA is CUBESMART SURE SMART PROTECTION PLAN (what a joke)! We were denied completely! Please post your experiences, and share on social media. If you are an attorney, and feel there is grounds for a class action: 1) because the exclusions are not outlined, and 2) CubeSmart requires it - please reach out to those of us deeply, emotionally and financially affected. I was able to post four pictures of 32 so far.

BUYER BEWARE! GAIG issued a policy based solely on my inquiry for a quote. Then sent me to collections for a policy that I never even received a quote for. In order to get the quote I had to fill out an application, which was 3 pages and provided information about my horse I was wanting a quote for. That application required a signature but stated right on the application "no application will be considered if not fully completed". However, apparently, my signature on this application is "proof" that I wanted them to issue the policy, even though it just says the application will be "considered". So basically, DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING until you want the policy issued. I never received a quote back from GAIG after completing the application so I thought nothing of it. I received a letter I was being sent to collections for not paying my premium -- which I had no idea had been issued. I mailed in my email interactions showing I never even received a quote so I was not sure how I had a policy. As I didn't hear anything back I presumed it was just dismissed as an accident. However, they did send me to collections and then when I called to discuss with them they told me that signed application was me authorizing them to issue the policy. It seems absolutely absurd to me that a policy would ever be issued when I never even received a quote, nor an email back from the company. How would I agree to something I did not even know the cost of? Or what the policy was even going to cover? In comparison, the other quotes I requested all had similar application types, and did not use that application for issuing the policy -- instead they just sent the quote, which is what I expected. Luckily, I am only out $130, but this feels extremely deceitful to issue a policy based solely on an application that is required in order to even get a quote. Sharing my experience so others do not go through the same thing!

I own a small business. In cincinnati, this company’s home town. The business uses a storage locker. The storage facility suggests insuring your locker through Great American. We had a robbery over thanksgiving. Great America refuses to pay out on a theft claim, saying ”there is no evidence of forced entry” …when there is evidence of forced entry, and it was provided to them. They say “the marks are indicative of standard use” (they’re not, there is major bending of the lock mechanism metal). They say “you used a lock that allowed the unit to be forced open” (I say, I didn’t know that was the case, and that I must use a particular type of lock is not specified in the coverage contract. Tell me, what is the point of paying for insurance if they claim evidence is not evidence, and that it’s your fault anyway, throw in another irrelevant reason to deny coverage, and then refuse to pay the claim? Terribly Unamerican Insurance group hates small business, and doesn’t understand the concept of pooled risk… Do not bother with this company. They are the scum of the earth. Edit: Social media manager replied after case had already been closed with the above conclusion… poor attempt to save face. Don’t use Great American.

This insurance company doesn't want to treat it's consumers accordingly. The storage unit they insure want take care of my 2 stolen Harleys that was in a storage unit they protect. Because someone obviously know how to pick locks, got into my unit and stole my street glide and my harley trike that I both own, don't want to compensate. Because the locks was cut, they're trying to tell me that owe well, your lost. I'm already having a lawyer to draw up paper work for a lawsuit. CubeSmart storage in Dayton and this insurance company definitely don't want to help the victim which is me.

In my case they denied to cover my truck and trailer that was stolen because I was the last person I parked from one parking lot to different parking lot and I wasn’t on the insurance as a driver! STAY AWAY!
