3 years agoStarting new in the world of aviation can be intimidating. Cincinnati west/whitewater airport made it possible for me to meet my childhood dream of getting my private pilot license. The staff is great and very helpful, and the instructors are all professional and compassionate. I continue to use whitewater as a pilot for airplane rentals and will continue using them!!!!

6 years agoGreat experience in getting my private pilot license at Whitewater Aviation. The staff were patient, friendly and helpful, and most concerned with my experience. The aircraft that I trained in, and continue to rent, were in good condition, and well maintained. I would recommend Whitewater to anyone who is considering learning to fly.

8 years agoI have been involved in almost every aspect of aviation for over 25 years. I have kept my personal aircraft at Cincinnati West for 11 years. Will Berninger, the owner of Whitewater Aviation, has impeccably maintained my aircraft. Occasionally, I have found myself in need of another aircraft and I have flown the airplanes used for flight training. It is true that they don’t look like the Cessnas rolling off the production line in Independence, Kansas, but the flight school’s airplanes are well maintained and fly really well. The rental rates are quite a bit cheaper than other flight schools in the area and certainly nationwide. I agree that the FBO looks a little dated but it has all the services you need. Besides, Cincinnati State owns the airport and the buildings. I have only had the best and friendliest service provided to me by the employees of Whitewater Aviation. It is a pleasure to interact with them and find out how they are doing. I look forward to many more years at Cincinnati West. Thank you for you hard work.

8 years agoI moved from Dayton to Cincinnati last year. Moved my 'home' airport from MGY to I67 and found a home here fairly quickly. Reasonable rental prices, the 172s are both in great shape and maintained very well. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. I can also say that the 2400'x75' foot runway despite being a challenge has absolutely made me a better pilot. I look forward to many more adventures originating from Cincinnati West-Harrison airport, as well as earning an instrument rating sometime in the near future.

4 years agoI’m currently a student pursuing a Private Pilot Certificate. I really enjoy the atmosphere at Whitewater Aviation, the airplanes, and particularly feel fortunate to have a good instructor. Kelly is very knowledgeable and effectively communicates what I need to hear to help build on my knowledge as a student. She also knows when to let me problem solve on my own without prompting which helps me build confidence in my skills as a pilot. I look forward to coming back every week.
