a month agoThey apparently don’t accept students for MEI training unless they’re “internal.” They have a backlog of students waiting for training in other stages of training, too. Yet, they don’t hire people unless they are “internal.” So what do they do? Apparently you have to be a chosen one to fly here.

3 years agoI just received my Private Pilot certificate after training with Sporty's. As a student that wanted to learn to fly but wasn't interested in making a career change, I think they have been excellent. I didn't necessarily care to be the fastest person to get a certificate, or get it on a shoestring budget, so I can't comment on that aspect -- but I did want to use a school that I wouldn't be afraid to send my kids to if they decide to take up flying. For me, Sporty's is that place.

4 years agoSporty's is a top notch school. The aircraft are impeccably maintained and all the instructors are professional and helpful. Furthermore, the building where training is held is clean, comfortable and world class. I did a lot of research of all the schools in the Cincinnati-Lexington area and nothing came close to Sporty's. I would higly recommend sportys to anyone interested in learning how to fly.
