3 years agoI had a decent experience at piedmont. With the recent crash and the death of a student I think the school should once again teach the instructors about energy management during an engine out into a field. This is so basic and it's a shame a life was lost forever. A field and an instructor should be able to be best friends. Maybe consider buying pipistrel viruses to train in. They have a parachute that can deploy in two seconds and they recommend pulling it even in a crash landing just before the mains touch ground. The technology is here to get through commercial ratings now safer.....one engine=parachute always. Single engine deaths happen everyday

They have been established in the area a long time and have always provided well maintained aircraft at reasonable rates. If you get a chance to fly with them you won't be disappointed.
