6 years agoWhat a great visit we had to Wurtsboro Airport. It was an iffy weather day when we visited as part of the Great American Cross Country trip my son and I have been doing for five years. Glider pilot Jim met us at the small airport office and pulled a bunch of strings in order to make a glider flight with my son happen. My son is a certificated glider pilot so we opted for an instructional flight in the ASK-21 instead of the sightseeing flight. What was super awesome was getting towed by a Bird Dog painted in USAF livery. Carson soared with some local bald eagles who helped him locate the thermals. Rachael was the tow pilot and we had a good conversation between pilots after she returned from the tow release. Super friendly bunch of folks who share a love for all things aviation. Thank you all for making our day!

7 years agoHad an excellent time soaring! I have a fear of flying (I promised my husband I would go), but glider pilot Warren was very good at explaining everything that was happening and putting me at ease. Highly recommended to take a ride!

2 years agoInconsiderate to the locals by flying low above residential homes. And I have filed to FAA. Google Comments are for whatever the user chooses them to be used for. So... nice try trying to tell someone what to do and how to use technology. "which is meant for actual customers with direct experience of our business." I have direct experience with your business, ie - this and our other communications.

5 years agoCalled several times to book a flight while we were visiting the area. No one answered, so I left a message with my cell number. The next afternoon, we decide to chance it and take the 40 min ride out there. We meet a woman walking out of the office who says she's been out all day, couldn't reply to calls, and the the thermostat gauge on the plane wasn't working. So, no flights and no apologies. A simple text or timely return call or an apology or maybe 10% off a future purchase would have smoothed things over. Honestly, not returning nor recommending.
