2 weeks agoAndover Flight Academy was strongly recommended by several of my instructors and fellow pilots when I decided to go for my tailwheel endorsement. Damian and Justine run a small flight school out of Andover Aeroflex 12N. The office is cozy and filled with tons of vintage aviation memorabilia, and the hangars are filled with beautiful tailwheel planes in beautiful condition. My initial call went unanswered and I left a message as instructed. I received a call back the next day to schedule my first lesson in a J3 cub. I had already watched Damian's Tailwheel 101 and 201 videos on YouTube (must watch!), so that was an excellent primer to my lessons. After completing 5 hours of training so far, I can only say good things about Andover Flight Academy. Top tier instruction in a beautiful airport. If you can't get in touch with them please leave a message and they will get back to you shortly. They are busy instructing and do not have anyone in the office when they are out flying. Highly recommended.

a year agoSome of the best flight training I've ever had. Great airport to train with in a tailwheel, you will not regret it. Damian is to the point and serious about his passion to teach. To me it was not even about the tailwheel endorsement anymore - I learned so much with every lesson flying with Damian, further sharpening my stick and rudder flying. I highly recommend flight training with Damian at Andover.

a year agoGot my tailwheel endorsement here with Damian months ago. That was a fun experience; learned a lot beyond tailwheel operations. They also have some cool airplanes in the hanger!

2 years agoOwner will take your money and run. I purchased a 5 hour block of flight time for a tailwheel course as a gift; Damian provided 1 hour of ground and 1 hour of flight training each before squawking 7600. Tried multiple attempts to contact him via business and cell numbers as well as social media over the course of many months. Train elsewhere.
