I bought an introductory flight at CHI last summer (July 20) after delaying flight training for years. I went from 0 hours to just hitting 21.3 this morning and ready for solo. The professionalism and encouragement from CHI has been nothing short of amazing - I don't think I could have picked a better location to learn. Now, after over 20 hours, I simply won't pick another location to learn - they are that good.
The absolute enthusiasm about aviation at CHI is what ultimately sold me on choosing them. The staff is nuts about flying and just their excitement alone, makes you want to learn. The aircraft have a rock solid maintenance schedule as you'll learn about and I typically walk away from a lesson feeling a bit like a fighter pilot in those RV-12s, I won't lie. Driving home feels different after greasing your first crosswind landing.
Additionally, KPSM with their newly paved runway is a dream to fly in and out of. The accommodating controllers, 11,000' runway and perfect location on the Seacoast are all benefits. You can build your skills with confidence without spending half your lesson on a congested apron or taxiway, light traffic at KPSM is fun to mix with.
I'll close with this - Do your research, check them out, look under the hood and kick the tires (so to speak) on the program. I would definitely ask for a tour of the hangar and aircraft prior to any intro flight so you meet some of the staff and instructors - they are what makes the instruction flow so naturally.
Good luck and be safe!

CHI is (singing voice) faaaabulous! And I am in no way a typical...customer. I'm a woman, approaching the middle-age realm, and have always wanted to "fly." An introductory flight isn't exactly "flying," but I technically turned on the ignition, throttled a bit, steered a bit, yada, yada. It was all surreal while simultaneously feeling truly instructional. Mikey was my instructor, and he did a great job with divulging just the right amount of information, levity, and insider knowledge that contextualized not only my experience but also what it means to fly along the coast out here -- how unique it is -- and then how great the airfield is. I get it now -- this fire in the belly for flying a plane.
I wanted to give my grandson flying lessons when he turned 15. Everyone told me to go to CHI, Aerospace, including a number of local pilots as the planes are all equipped with latest technology, instructors are young, energetic and fantastic. He did his solo last May and now shooting for his private license this May at 17. I can highly recommend CHI.
I started taking flight lessons at CHI in October 2020. My first lesson was with Mikey and all others have been with Jack. That first lesson was Jack's day off. Everyone who works there has been incredibly friendly since the first time I walked in, always greeting me by name and thanking me as I leave. At the end of virtually every flight, you can count on Elora to ask how it went. Jack has been full of knowledge throughout my training and upon our first meeting, gave me his phone number and invited me to ask text or call him any time I had any questions. Every session is a new rush and every time I leave, I can't wait to do it again. Prices seem incredibly reasonable especially for the quality of equipment you get to train with. If you're in the southern NH area, I highly recommend training or even just a dream flight with CHI.

5 months agoGreat training in spin recovery. Easy to schedule and Brian has a good lesson plan for the Alpha 160. Rate was very reasonable.
