8 months agoI have contacted this office to try to get copies of documents from a case that was handled by an attorney that worked for WilmerHale, but is no longer there. I received nothing in return, not even an explanation as to who I could contact to get these documents from the attorney that represented me. I would think that Wilmer Hale would have a copy of the documents themselves, since I was a client of theirs. Instead what I received was a letter stating that they no longer represent me. This is very unprofessional! On top of that, I was told by the attorney when he was representing me, that I could sue another attorney and that I had to hurry up and do so before the statue of limitations ran out. I hired him to help me as the case was pretty complex and not something for the average person to handle themselves. That statement really threw me, making me feel as though he really didn't have my best interest in mind. All I'm looking for now is to get my documents stating what he has done for me. There must be copies of the documents at WilmerHale, or at the least they could direct me to find them. Anyone should be able to get coppies of work done/records, the same way you would request records from anywhere else. Very disappointed with being half represented!
