a year agoThis is the BEST place to fly in the area. They do flight training but also it's a place to rent planes for your 100$ hamburger. If you go to some of these flight schools, they'll get you trained, but they probably won't let you take their planes out. Travel express is all about using your license and flying somewhere. TEA has rentals in their DNA. I just got some recurrent training from Mike, great guy and even better instructor. The owners, Lori and Ken are easy to work with, very friendly and down-to-earth people. I've checked other rental places around DuPage airport. TEA is the most reasonable. I absolutely love this place! You should stop in or give them a call. Tell them Steve sent you!

3 years agoVery welcoming environment and people. Everyone acted like they wanted to be there. My instructor was a very knowledgeable and friendly instructor, he made me feel comfortable in a different aircraft and a new instructor within one lap on the pattern. All of their aircraft looked and felt clean and were well taken care of. The modern glass cockpits are a nice touch. If anyone is looking to take the first step to flying or looking to add another rating, this is the place to go. You will be treated like a long lost friend here.

6 years agoI’ve been training with TEA for 5 months now. It’s been a very positive experience. People are awesome and great to work with. Compared to some other flight schools in the area I’ve checked out, this facility looks and feels top notch. My first concern was to see if the flight school I’ll choose also runs a safe maintenance shop, when I first walked into the building I was pleasantly surprised. This facility is run professionally and is very organized which tells me that they have their act together. Later on after I started training it all confirmed. Starting with all the Mechanics staff, office staff and all the instructors I’ve met and worked with, all people are super friendly and awesome to work with. I highly recommend this as a really good flight school to help you learn how to fly!!

6 years agoVery disappointing experience so far. My son can’t seem to get any flying time in because his instructor is always “booked”. We are lucky to fly one day every three to four weeks. Do your homework before signing on with them. Also, my son has to text his instructor two to three times before he responds with an “ I’m booked.” Learning to fly is not cheap and my son shouldn’t have to hound someone to text him back. Commmunication is terrible
