Do not believe them when they say your flight lesson will “NEVER” be cancelled due to weather. I’ve rescheduled 4 times now after driving an hour here because they refuse to call or communicate ahead of time.
**Edit to respond: I’ve already done the ground training and it should be easily seen by your people when booking. There is zero reason why someone can’t call and tell me we can’t fly today vs waiting for me to drive an hour there. It’s inconsiderate of your customers time.
Update: I Rescheduled and they called 2 hours before to inform me that we would fly. They listened to my feedback and I greatly appreciate that. I flew with Ryan and it was a blast, I then rescheduled another lesson with Ryan!
Amazing experience. Very hands on! Jim showed me how to port the fuel to make sure their was no water , explained different parts of the plane and instruments very well. Not to mention an amazing flight around the skyline and back, Jim let me take control of the plane most of the time and even did some cool 0G nose dives for me and my friend . I would definitely recommend coming here to have a one of a kind experience!
Had a few issues with flight rescheduling. After some back and forth, we were thankfully able to book a spot for a later date. Scott helped us out, and made sure we were able to reschedule. Giftory Team (experience partner) also stayed on top of it to make sure everything is well communicated.
Looking forward to the flying experience!
First and foremost! Thank you Logan for such an amazing experience during our flight! It was so surreal, you were a great instructor, and I look forward to flying again!
For those who want to try, you should!! Just don’t be deterred by the possibility of rescheduling a few times because this experience is very weather dependent. They want you to have a great time with clear skies so you can truly appreciate the view of the Chicago skyline! It’s so worth it!
I left this school a year ago. I read reviews from other people and have to agree. This school does not provide quality training or safe flight experiences. During my flight training here, I witnessed and experienced my fair share of problems with the planes. Some of these problems were dangerous, like the engine losing power on take-off climbs. The final straw for me was on a check ride with a chief pilot. I took off, and my plane lost radios, which I was told that the chief pilot wants to hear is not an emergency, and it absolutely is. It has its own transpoder code for a reason. To keep this short, there were a series of events that led to me being told to execute a series of unsafe practices. I tried out a few schools after that and found one where I felt safe and was able to develop as a pilot. When I say develop, I mean most of my training had to be redone. To wrap this up, the curriculum is also nonexistent, instructors do not have consistent lessons, and you will spend more time learning too much that you can't absorb as a new pilot rather than learning fundamentals that will allow you to better understand these concepts later when you are ready. I am genuinely convinced that if I was licensed after staying at this school, then I would have ended up injured or died due to lack of training. You get what you pay for!
