When a person decides to take on the lifelong learner role of being a pilot, it’s important to learn from instructors who teach to standards that prioritize a learner’s utmost understanding for safety and efficacy. Not only have I been able to pursue my goals, but I have been excited to bring along others who have an interest in aviation because I believe so strongly in this school! Lisa and Jim have real-world experience and even yield the opportunity for learners to gain proficiency in tail wheel aircraft! The additional instructors in the school are carefully selected to meet the highest standards. I’ve enjoyed feeling that I have a home in aviation throughout my training! Students are encouraged to build study groups and enjoy the process of learning in a positive social environment. SRFTC is all about what’s good in general aviation!!

Jim and Lisa are the reason I’ve got my private pilot license. They truly enjoy teaching the art and science of aviation. I came to them from another instructor that I had learned a ton of information and flying skills from but got to a dead end with and was personally frustrated. Within a couple months and a couple lessons from Lisa and ground instruction and flying instructions from Jim I was fully confident and ready for the check ride. I passed with ease. Being in my late 40’s and passing with that confidence meant the world to me. Since then I find myself flying weekly all over the NW and hopefully further. I look forward to my flight review with them to collaborate with them what I’ve learned on my own and what else they have to offer me. They are the real deal.

Great Flight School! I’ve been flying with Snake River FC for some time now and have nothing but respect for all the instructors and their teaching techniques. You can tell that all of them have nothing but the utmost respect and passion for aviation and want to make sure all of their students know how to be safe and confident up in the air. They pride themselves on analyzing you as a student in order to formulate the most effective teaching methods, which we all know change depending on the person. If you are going back and forth with what flight school to choose in the treasure valley, this is your sign to fly with Snake River!

Great school! Earned my private ticket here. I looked for other options for my instrument rating but I feel I will get the best training here. You always get your money's worth everytime you show up. They ensure you are constantly challenged and if you reach the point where you are tapped out, they easily slow the training down. I never left that school feeling we would have went over more information or having questions. They will take time out of there week if you have questions to reach out to your instructor for help while studying. I feel 100% confident in saying that they will teach out to fly safe for the safety of you and those around you. Meeting the minimum to get you a certificate is not their goal. Their goal is to develop good stick and rudder skills and intelligent decision making to keep you and those around you safe. This is a hobby / profession where others trust their life with your abilities and I would only want the best training for taking my family on trips. I had the confidence to take my wife on a trip over 1,000 air miles and had complete confidence the training I received would get me there and home safe. Thanks SRFC! Very good flight school with all instructors very knowledgeable! Whether you fly with them in your aircraft or go up in one of the flight schools flight safety is always number one. Currently working on my commercial flight certificate along with getting my instrument proficiency check and could not be happier!
