It was a fantastic experience. We got this as a birthday present for our son (20 years old). SkyBound was actually recommended to us by an acquaintance who works at the airport - he knew they took excellent care of the planes. Our son was quite nervous but Patrick was fantastic and our son really enjoyed the experience. Patrick was also incredibly conscientious - we had a few delays due to weather and was more accommodating than I ever expected anyone to be. It was a wonderful experience!
An excellent flight school at PDK. The flight instructors and staff go out of their way to make students feel comfortable and welcome. The school has a range of planes to choose from, so there is little issue scheduling a flight based on your personal availability. I have a few friends who have owned and managed flight schools over the years and it’s not an easy business to operate. The folks at Skybound do a great job of balancing the operational aspects and customer service. Highly recommended.
I had always had the desire to fly. Stopped in today and met Matt. He said, want to fly today? Riding my adrenaline and just accepting I did. Matt was AWESOME. The team here at Skybound was super friendly and willing to spend time with me. I loved every second of flying. Matt made me feel comfortable and competent. He explained what he was doing and what I needed to do. I was excited, nervous and had so much adrenaline that I needed that calmness. Matt you are awesome.
The pricing here was affordable and the planes are nice. I was amazed at the size, I had never been in anything than a Jetliner.
Thanks guys!
I have been doing flight lessons at Skybound Aviation for over 5 months now, and I am pleased to say that my experience has been nothing short of extremely wonderful and amazing. The CFI's are all both very friendly and professional. Plus, you will learn a lot of interesting and valuable concepts through each and every flight lesson. The rental prices here are the most reasonably priced, as compared to all other flight schools. If you are looking for flexible, productive, and most of all, fun flight training, I strongly suggest you do it here at Skybound. You will not regret it.
First attempt to fly with Skybound was canceled due to aircraft scheduling issues (which i could understand and dont hold against them)
On the second attempt, while on the way, the instructor bailed on me last minute due to him saying hes “going flying with a friend”.
Third attempt, I show up 20 mins early to my scheduled flight time (6:00) to find that the instructor never booked the plane and the plane was not available. “Due to the renter taking his time because no one was scheduled behind him” said the lady at the front desk. Since I drove an hour and a half to get there, the instructor tells me to go get something to eat while we wait on the plane to come back and we will fly. While eating, the instructor tells me that he cant fly late (7:30) because he has to work the next day and canceled on me once again.
Everyone else seems to have had a good experience so im not sure if its just this one instructor that I had given to me or what?? But for these reasons I can not recommend Skybound Aviation. I am a licensed pilot looking to get additional endorsements and have never experienced this at other flight schools.
