I decided to give my man the gift of flight for an early Christmas gift at NSPIRE. We went through a 15-20 min pre-flight meeting with the pilot, then boarded the plane. The pilot, Mark was extremely professional and knowledgeable about air planes(all planes), licensing requirements, safety procedures and overall flying. He thoroughly explained the guages, throttle and other component of the cockpit to my boyfriend before letting him take the wheel. During the flight, my boyfriend was able to fly the plane, that included increasing and decreasing speed, steering the plane to the left and to the right, and making a U-turn midair. The experience was breathtaking!
I obtained my Private, Instrument, and Single Engine Commercial ratings at this school. I stared in Q1 of 2022. The instructors were phenomenal and the airport is one of the best airports to learn how to fly. The management was always quick to respond and helped me sort anything I needed help with.
I really enjoyed my time there and I am glad I chose this school to learn how to fly.
I began my relationship with NSPIRE last summer. Having gained my private pilot's license in a flying club the year before, I decided to pursue my instrument rating. My former instructor was no longer available and suggested I give NSPIRE a try. I am very glad he did so. Kevin G. was my instructor throughout the experience with the exception of a few hours of complex training, which I did with Mark E. Both are solid instructors who are thorough and compassionate. As with any new pilot in the training environment, I had my ups and downs along the way. Kevin was especially patient and supportive while challenging me appropriately as I learned. He was very flexible and treated me like a valued customer and a friend at the same time. I did some ground training with Mark and Amanda as well. They were both awesome teachers and went out of their way to arrange sessions with multiple students to keep costs down for each.
As far as the organization itself, NSPIRE is a very proactive business. Seemingly moments after parking your plane, the fuel truck will arrive to top off the tanks for the next pilot. All squawks are dealt with immediately, keeping their planes available and in top shape. They take safety very very seriously. The cockpits are outfitted with modern GPS units and dual Garmin G5's to augment the standard six pack of instruments. Additionally, they have several different payment plans available to customers. You can pay as you go, or buy large blocks of time at a reduced rate if you are fully committed. I recommend their organization fully to any aspiring aviation student.
