a year agoGreat flight school!!! Been associated with Atlas for a number of years now and the entire staff is very friendly and professional. The airplanes are all very nice, well maintained, and the instructors are very knowledgeable and accommodating. Dave, the manager is the best. This is a class act!!! Worth your time and money. The value is found here. Having a professional career all my life and being well rounded, I am subject to criticism, but none here, only praise. Scheduling no problem, time with instructors no problem, and availability of aircraft no problem. You can’t go wrong here. From the owner to the entire staff, all great people who support and participate in the community and have a positive presence and attitude. I enjoy every flight experience. I would give them 10 Stars!!!!!

a year agoDisappointing Experience at Atlas AviationTampa at Peter O Knight. I recently spent time at Atlas Aviation, and I must say that I was disappointed with my experience. The lead instructor, Dave Presnell, created unnecessary drama among the students and instructors, which affected the learning environment. Additionally, I noticed a recurring issue with the hiring of inexperienced pilots as instructors. It seemed apparent that their primary goal was to accumulate flight hours rather than providing comprehensive instruction. This lack of real-world experience and teaching skills made me question the safety of the training program. I hope Atlas Aviation at Peter O Knight Airport on Davis Islands, takes these concerns seriously and makes improvements for the sake of future students, as they have clearly established themselves as the most expensive instruction school in the Tampa Bay Area with the least experienced instructors that lack the skill and desire to be experienced teachers and only want to gain the hours to become a professional commercial airline pilot.
