Each summer, anticipation builds among locals and visitors alike for the annual Pensacola Beach Air Show. This event celebrates our hometown heroes, the Blue Angels, the renowned U.S. Navy flight demonstration squadron stationed at Forrest Sherman Field on Naval Air Station Pensacola. Leading up to the main event, the Blues conduct multiple practice sessions along the beach.

3 months agoThe beaches of the Emerald Coast are some of the most beautiful we have seen. The fine white sand is soft and wide. There is plenty of space, and the beach is well used by locals and visitors. This beach, which stretches for 100 miles along the northern shores of the Gulf of Mexico, through many other cities and national parks, is as good as our wonderful beaches at home in Australia. We always love visiting this part of Florida.

5 months agoI don't know why people like Miami more. Pensacola Beach is a hidden gem. It's far more beautiful than all the beaches I have been to in Florida. I would highly recommend putting this beach on your bucket list if you want to enjoy clear water and white, snow-like sand.

a month agoPensacolans take well-placed pride in their white sand beaches. Rest on benches along the pier. Watch dark discs gradually rise through turquoise water to become sea turtles sipping the air before another deep dive. (SEA TURTLES!!) $ well worth it to walk down the pier.
