5 years agoCambridge International Airport is a private aerodrome which is not open to the general public. There is no clubhouse or cafe so this is one of those places that has preserved flying history since 1937 but remains in private hands. 3 google stars reflects the lack of public involvement. A good size airport nevertheless.

9 years agoWhy can't other airports be like this? Yes, it's very small (part of its charm!) but we have never been made to feel so welcome (yes) and relaxed. After getting generally p---- off with airports and we've used 60 including about 20 in the British Isles, we thought we would stay at home in future but our flights with Blue Islands to and fro Cambridge this September and its whole ambience have changed our minds. We shall fly from Cambridge again next year. It's all so civilised and polite!!

7 years agoSuch a waste of opportunities that Cambridge Airport isn't used for international air traffic. It's an exciting place to be is Cambridge and the full use of this airport would have been the icing on the cake. Let's hope it retains/regains it's deserved international status - Ryanair would love to have a hub in Cambridge.
