5 months agoI have visited many times over the years and gradually the facilities have grown in type and quality- mostly for the private air traveller. Views of the comings and youngsters of aircraft are good and Theresa on site cafe which is excellent for snacks, meals and gathering with your mates. There used to be classic car meets and bijerd often converge. Good stop for camper banners like us.

11 months agoWe have attended this place before, but this was the first time that I have spent a significant of time filming. In spite of the wet weather, it was lovely to see so many people attending and The Pathfinder Cafe was full. There is also a space outside in which part of the premises was covered. I appreciated the way in which the team members of the cafe would duck and try not to be in the way of people filming and taking photographs. Personally, I would not have minded them in my videos so that the viewers of my photographs and films could see all of the hard work that they do, but their efforts were appreciated. There was a mix of all ages and it was lovely to see a woman who appeared to be in her 80s sharing stories. There were also some younger children near the front of the outdoor part of the cafe, one of whom was filming and it was nice to see both of them taking an interest. There was also a lovely rainbow, which I endeavoured to capture in my photographs. I recommend this place, but it can become quite crowded.

2 years agoAnother great airfield. Landing fee is fantastic value (P28R was £15+VAT), Pathfinder Cafe is excellent, and there's plenty of interesting fixed wing and rotary activity to keep you entertained over lunch. Staff in the tower and Ops couldn't be more friendly and helpful.
