Yesterday I had my introductory flight. The atmosphere at the school was relaxed and friendly. After a briefing by instructor Tim we took to the sky. At about 3,700 feet Tim handed the controls of the Cessna 152 to me. It took a moment or two to adjust to the sensitivity of the control stick and then I felt the exhilaration of flying a light aircraft. Tim pointed out things of interest below us. Eventually he took back control for a smooth landing. Thanks Tim for an experience definitely to be recommended.
Had a great flying experience here. First time flying. Nice and friendly, relaxed and professional staff. Talked through all the controls and checks and was a brese to fly once up there. Lovely experience and I recommend it to others even just for a taster of flight. Thanks!
Fantastic went with pals (Aston Martin)to see the Vulcan Bomber. The volunteers were brilliant explaining the history of the aeroplane, engineering details, explanation of it conventional and nuclear bomb loads.
The volunteers obviously love what they do. Thanks in particular to one gent who during his time serving in the RAF was in fact a crew member of a Vulcan
A brilliant day 👏
