Visited today with another male who loves planes and we travel accross scotland to see them. Today we entered the Scottish aero club as it was cold outside. We didnt use any amenities just to get some heat in us. Approached from a male approx 5ft6 in his 50s with a English accent asked we needed help? I replied I was a support practitioner and with my client who loves planes and trying to get a heat etc... He told us it was a private club and we both felt very unwelcome and we left, club had only one woman in having a sandwich and a drink and then us. I didn't see any signage( or missed it) that no public were allowed he made us feel very!! unwelcome and we both headed back into the cold. Club showed a lack or humility and lack or empathy and def showed privilege.

Local flying club with one of the broadest ranges of aircraft in Scotland/UK. Genuinely enthusiastic instructors/membership and a lovely location for touring Scotland.
