I have been with the club for almost 9 years. The atmosphere is extremely friendly.
Everyone at the club does their best to be nice and friendly, make you feel comfortable and also go the extra mile if you need anything.
The rates are very competitive and all instructors are extremely polite and professional.
It is definitely a real club.
Annual cost is very reasonable, rental costs over £50/h cheaper than standard, I visited the club a couple of years ago. It didn't suit me at the time as I was training elsewhere and I thought one of the members I met was a bit unfriendly. The chief pilot was a nice guy and it wasn't commercial, it's a club.
I went again last year, and it was still the same, I hear the AT3 is sold now, the PA28s were old but in good condition. I took a share in a plane instead but am still considering LTFC as a backup in case of maintenance.
I read the review by Chris, something not right there, but I can't tell what.
Absolute rip off of a club run by "The Chairman" who is the majority shareholder and director of the limited company that claim to be a club. The club operate some old and shabby PA28's and an AT3 that the club seem to have bought the Chairman as his own personal toy. Nice instructors working in the club though, all will tell you a tale or two about "The Chairman". I suspect it wont be long before the club goes bankrupt owing to "the chairman's" lack of business sense. You can rent aircraft at market rates but its just making the Chairman money. Rubbish Club fly with someone professional instead.
I've been a member for over 20 years, and I wouldn't stay if I didn't think it was an excellent place to fly with a great club atmosphere. Good aircraft, good rates, friendly people, average tea.
I've been a member for just over a year now. A very friendly and relaxed club, tidy aircrafts, and the best prices around. Cannot fault and highly recommend a visit.
