10 months agoBooked a trial flight lesson as a gift, and was even given the chance to ride along! Very welcoming place, fantastic instructor who really took their time - we booked 30 minutes and had that much in the air but probably double that on the ground! Will definitely be going back for myself soon

a year agoBest family feel aero club around and best food and love the Robin light aircraft and the big navigation table! Was made very welcome from the start and my first pilot instructor left me aghast from my first lesson and just let me land it! I was waiting for him to jump in and take over like a driving instructor ...I was waiting for queues or for him to step in.. He just let me get on with it! I did fine... Anyone who knows about flying will tell you flying is easy! it's landing and safety and navigation and comms and reading the weather and all that comes with it and protocol and know how ...... great place to get your private pilots licence in a more friendly atmosphere or to just have your first flight.

8 years agoI am a US citizen and pilot living in the UK. I joined the Cotswold Aero Club over a year ago and very happy I did. They have well maintained aircraft and Phil Mathews (the club owner and master flight instructor) is very knowledgeable and helpful. They have a very nice facility and their rates are competitive. Their fleet is single engine only so no twins. Scheduling aircraft and instructors is fairly easy and everyone is helpful and friendly.
