It’s a nice airport but some of the works are not friendly at all. It’s long so make sure you do not wait around or you can miss your flight. Terminals are about a 15 minute walk. Shopping is easy as you walk through it to go to the terminals but for food not a lot of options and the security can be over the top when asking for help. Coming in they have a lot of options to get you home and when leaving I would go around 3 and a half hours early for international flights because they will take late flights ahead and it can make you late.
Gatwick airport was very clean when we used the north terminal. The gates are easy to find and very well signed posted around.
This is the first time I have used Gatwick In about 15 years. Normal fly from more local airports. Very modern and comfy if you need to sit down for a bit. I was travelling with my two children and wife and the little kiddy area for them to play for a bit is a great touch. Kept them chilled and made the time go quicker for them
London Gatwick airport has two terminals.. North and South terminal.
Both has short stay, long stay parking and pick up and drop off areas.
South terminal shortstay has three areas- orange, red and ?green; no prebooking needed.. I had been to red and it was pretty near to the terminal.
Good experience with Gatwick Airport.
Fast and organised security check. Huge duty-free shop. Many other stores. Restaurants and cafes. Very clean and well maintained. Absolutely satisfied with the waiting in London Gatwick Airport before my departure 🛫
