Invited to their base on a cold Saturday morning as a thankyou for raising more funds as I ran the 2019 Belfast Half Marathon .Nothing but admiration for them, had a great time and learned some interesting facts to!.
This, believe it or not is a charity. Unlike other Medical Air-wings in the UK that get funded by the Gov't. Operating out of the Maze Long Kesh site just inside the gate. You can't miss it, you drive right past the helicopter on the way to the Aviation Museum. This service is a God send. Well needed. And the work they do is fantastic (for want of a better term).
Incredible service, a game changer in trauma care in NI since it launched in 2017. The AANI charity needs everyone's support as no one knows who may need it tomorrow.
